Flat Six Candle Co. grew out of an existing love of scent, and an ever-present love of cars.

The brand began as an extension of Tide & Timber, where we learned how scent can hold memory, place, and emotion. Over time, it became clear that some of our most powerful associations weren’t tied to landscapes — they lived in garages, on winding roads, and in the quiet moments after the drive.

Cars have always been a shared passion for us. A deep appreciation for thoughtful engineering, timeless design, and the emotional pull of driving became the foundation for a brand rooted in precision and obsession.

Flat Six takes its name from the flat six engine not as a literal tribute, but as a symbol of enduring design and lifelong fascination — a nod to the idea that some things stay with you because they’re done exceptionally well.
